Description

The Graphic Designer’s primary responsibility is to support the department in all aspects of process as it pertains to customer (both branded and generic) art & copy. This is full-time position scheduled to work 40 hours per week. This is not a creative role

Responsibilities:

Receive/process customer supplied artwork files
Design as requested, using pre-established style guidelines
Make copy/graphic revisions as needed
Communicate and coordinate artwork with print suppliers/internal departments/customers
Graphic proofing required (prepress checks)
Preflight files and provide to print suppliers.
Process printer proofs
Accurately measure existing boxes and labels
Approve/review color (drawn downs/hard copy proofs and press checks) 
Maintain customer approved color standards
Follow very specific SOPs (Standard operating procedures)
Initiate Change Controls
Structural design and mock ups
Photography and product editing 
Provide graphic support as directed

Qualifications

  • ◦High School or GED diploma, Associates degree preferred
  • ◦Proficient in current industry programs: Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, InDesign), Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel), Suitcase.
  • ◦Will provide training in: Label Matrix, Barcode Producer
  • ◦Mock-up skills required
  • ◦Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • ◦Ability to manage multiple tasks and think independently
  • ◦Ability to work in fast-paced art department with very tight deadlines
