Long Island, NY–based biotechnology company seeking a candidate with a Ph.D. in biological sciences with an in-depth understanding of signaling pathways, as well as strong molecular and cellular biology technical skills.  

Candidate will be part of a team of musculoskeletal researchers working on various aspects of orthopaedic-related diseases, including, but not limited to, degenerative disc disease, arthritis, bone repair, muscle regeneration, stem cell-mediated regeneration of soft tissue, and regenerative engineering.

Responsibilities:  

● Evaluate the function of osteoclasts, osteoblasts and chondrocytes in mediating skeletal tissue repair and regeneration.

 ● Conduct independent research with adequate training and use pre-clinical and genetic models. 

● Participate in study design and grant preparation. 

● Responsible for data harvesting interpretation and draft manuscript preparation.  

● Participate in all mandatory laboratory and group meetings.

Qualifications

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  
  • A doctoral degree or equivalent (Ph.D., M.D., ScD., D.V.M., DDS etc) in an appropriate field. Excellent scientific writing ability and strong oral communication skills. The ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues. Additional qualifications as specified by the Principal Investigator.
